menu-MENA vs MenuHoster: Which Digital Menu Platform Fits (2026)

Two QR menu platforms, compared honestly
If you're picking between menu-MENA and MenuHoster, you'll find a lot of comparison content online that's really just a sales pitch with a table stapled on. This isn't that. We're the menu-MENA team — we're obviously not neutral — but every claim about MenuHoster below is sourced from a real account we created on menuhoster.com, verified and walked end to end, on August 22, 2026. Software changes fast; treat anything here older than a few months as worth re-checking directly on menuhoster.com before you decide.

The short version
Both are QR-code digital menu platforms aimed at independent restaurants. The honest split:
- MenuHoster is broader — it has real online payments, AI-assisted editing, floor-plan reservations, Google Reviews integration, and a live Zapier connection today.
- menu-MENA is deeper on the specifics that matter most for Arabic/English restaurants — hand-curated bilingual content instead of machine translation, a structured dietary/allergen label system instead of a freeform notes field, and edge-cached page loads.
- Team and multi-location support is listed in MenuHoster's settings but marked "Coming soon" as of this writing — it isn't live yet. menu-MENA's is shipped and in use today.
If you need card payments today, or you want AI to reprice and restyle your menu for you, MenuHoster covers that and menu-MENA doesn't. If your priority is a menu that reads naturally in Arabic and a dietary-label system your guests can actually filter by, that's where we've put our effort.

Where menu-MENA is ahead
Bilingual quality, not just bilingual breadth. MenuHoster supports more languages, but they're machine-translated at runtime. menu-MENA supports Arabic and English with a real per-item editor an owner (or their staff) fills in by hand. For a menu, where a wrong word choice or an awkward literal translation is visible on every single item, that difference shows up constantly.
Structured dietary labels. MenuHoster's allergen/dietary information is a freeform text field — "Add notes (allergens, prep...)" — with no structure behind it, so a guest can't actually filter the menu by "no nuts" or "dairy-free." menu-MENA's labels are a real taxonomy guests can filter on.
Team and multi-location, already working. MenuHoster's settings show team invites and multi-location management, but as of this writing they're marked "Coming soon" — the UI exists, the feature doesn't. menu-MENA's branch switching, per-branch analytics, and member invites are live today.
Edge-cached page loads. menu-MENA's public menu pages are cached at Cloudflare's edge with locale- and theme-safe purging, so a cold load for a first-time visitor is fast without relying on generation speed. MenuHoster doesn't publicly disclose an equivalent.
Where MenuHoster is ahead
We're not going to pretend these don't matter, because for some restaurants they'll be the deciding factor.
Online payments. MenuHoster takes card payments directly through Stripe Connect at 0% platform commission — the restaurant is the merchant of record, and the money moves without a manual step. menu-MENA's ordering flow ends at a WhatsApp message; there's no card payment built in. If your restaurant needs guests to pay online before an order is prepared, MenuHoster covers that today.
AI-assisted editing. Chat-to-edit ("discount all desserts 20% until Sunday"), a full AI site builder that generates hero/about/hours/gallery pages from a business name, and one-click AI restyling of the whole site. menu-MENA doesn't have AI-driven editing.
A live Zapier connection. menu-MENA has a public API built in the same shape a Zapier integration expects, but the actual Zapier app listing isn't published yet. MenuHoster's is already live, connecting to thousands of other apps.
Full floor-plan reservations. menu-MENA's reservations are a list plus a calendar — you review and confirm every request manually, no table assignment. MenuHoster has a real floor-plan/table-grid UI with walk-in tracking. For a restaurant doing real table-yield management, that's a meaningfully bigger feature.
Google Reviews on the menu. MenuHoster pulls a live star rating and recent reviews onto the site and dashboard. menu-MENA doesn't integrate with Google Reviews.
Broadcast email from the customer list. Both platforms build a customer list from orders and reservations. MenuHoster lets you send outbound email campaigns to it. menu-MENA's customer list is capture-and-segment only — it's a list you look at, not one you send to yet.
Pricing, as of this writing
MenuHoster's published tiers (menuhoster.com, checked August 22, 2026): a Free plan (1 published site, 3,000 views/month, 25 pay-at-pickup orders/month), a Pro plan around $4.92/month billed annually, and a Max plan around $10/month. Ordering commission is 0% on every MenuHoster tier — their stated wedge against delivery-app fees and flat-fee competitors.
We're intentionally not quoting our own current pricing figures inside a blog post that will get stale — check our pricing page for what's live today, and do the same on menuhoster.com before you decide. Both change plans over time.
Which one should you actually pick?
If online card payments, AI-assisted menu editing, or full floor-plan reservation management are must-haves today, MenuHoster covers ground menu-MENA doesn't yet. If what matters more is a menu that reads naturally to your Arabic-speaking guests, a real dietary-label system they can filter by, and multi-location management that's actually shipped rather than "coming soon," that's where we've put the work. Try either — both offer a way to see the real product before you commit.
